Join us for free sample classes in early childhood creative play, tumbling, dance, and drama for ages 1-18 taking place in BAX’s Studios.
Students (9+) experienced and/or curious to work as part of a year-long ensemble and develop original composition are also invited to check out BAX’s advanced Performance Workshop Open Classes: Dance Performance Workshop and AcroBAX. Ongoing fun and family-friendly movement & visual art-making activities will also be taking place outside the BAX Building as part of our block party.

BAX Open House is a rain or shine event. Outdoor activities will be adapted to take place indoors in case of rain.
As part of our COVID safety and community care, BAX studio capacity for the sample classes will be limited to 10 students and the BAX teacher.
Parents/Caregivers will drop off and pick up their child at the BAX Front Desk for sample classes. Unless they are participating in a Caregiver/Child Move & Groove class, parents/guardians will not be permitted to wait for their child in the BAX building.
Please be sure to wear a mask for the full duration of your time in the BAX building. Paper masks will be provided for those that need them and cloth masks will be available for purchase as part of the event. Masks are required regardless of vaccination status.
As of September 7, 2021, in accordance with the “Key To NYC Pass,” proof of vaccination will be required for all who are eligible (currently ages 12+) to enter the BAX Building to participate in classes.
